Tis brown in the old versions... but in N64 and all the Zelda games after that... Link's hair is blonde...

The games have gotten a little weirder though currently, like Windwaker (I had fun navigating that talking ship and going to the different islands) and that gameboy game with the multiple multicolored links (dunno the name of that one)

Even the old link was blonde. if you look at the manuel art. I think his hair isn't the most important thing. Could be brown or blonde, as long as the actor was good.
