Hehe, I feel your pain. that was what 82-83?

I have been playing video games for a long time and I cant realy pick one or two, but if you break it up by system that I have owned....

Pre Atari 2600:
Pong - My freind had an original Pong machine that we played for hours at a time (at least thats how I remember it) I managed to buy it off him after he got a Coleco Vision.

Atari 2600:
Chopper Command and River Raid - Activision kicked tail back then

Timex Sinclair 1000 (basicaly the same thing as the Sinclair ZX-81):
Frogger - who needs a good keyboard, sound, and color to have fun playing Frogger??

Comodore 64/128:
Spy Hunter - How can you not love playing that game?
Adventure Constructon Kit - this let you create your own games which was in a way more fun than playing them.

Turbo Graphx 16:
Bonk - the only problem was you could not save your progress, no codes no saveing to the system memory nothing. So if you had to stop playing like for dinner or something you had to pause the game and leave the system on, or you started over at the beginning. Mine was on for 4 days once just so I could beat the final boss.
Exile - The first CD based game I owned. The game was huge and had incredably long cut scenes for the time. Plus the cut scenes had spoken dialog which was unheard of for a home console.

GameBoy:
Metroid II
Donky Kong Land - not the GBColor or GBA port of Contry.

Genesis:
Nothing realy stands out in my memory for this system, I know there was something but I cant remember what.

Super Nintendo: I never owned one but a couple of roommates had one in college.
Super Metroid - hands down one of the greatest platform/adventure games ever made.

Atari Jaguar:
Rayman - one of the hardest most frustrating games I have ever played but because of that one of the most rewarding.
Tempest 2000 - Some times the simplest game Ideas are the most fun.

Nintendo 64:
Mario 64 and Zelda - ocarana of time
With GoldenEye right behind them.

GameBoy Advance:
Golden Sun
Metroid Fusion - can you tell I like the Metroid series?

GameCube:
Metroid Prime - I need to play Super Metroid again to say wich one is better but its close.

PC/Mac:
The Descent Series

hmm, I was born in 82. But I know I had that game and that speccy.

And my parents owned an original pong game, which I have since been given. That game has two settings. Really slow, or really fast! hehe!

My game of the moment (the one I can't put down) is neverwinter nights online (please note the online, the single player was boring as hell) and SSX3.

FF2, FF3, Chrono Trigger, Total Annihilation, FF Tactics Advance. Super Metroid, Metroid Prime.

For lanparties, but almost never otherwise:
D3DQuake or GLQuake (original quake with hardware rendering), UT, UT2k3, Q3TA (when I can find people to play with, most of my friends are very anti-Q3 for some reason).

Played constantly in college:
Soul Calibur (DC), Soul Calibur II (PS2). Both great dorm games. The first is better.

But my favorite game of all time?

Ms. PacMan, without a doubt.
PuzzleBobble is a close second though.

Yeah, I'm weird, what can I say?

I'm personally into Disgaea: Hour of Darkness now. Always a true fan of FF-VII. NFL Street is also great for a while. The origonal Skies of Arcadia is awsome. Grandia II is great. The "Tales of..." series is also wonderful. If you have a computer and an SNES emulator, download Tales of Phantasia. Its huge, but well worth it. Valkery Profile is good, Sky Gunner is good, Ace Combat 4 is good, Fable is going to be awsome, Starcraft: Ghost is going to be awsome, Lifeline is supposed to be good, the Fear Effect and ZOE series is good, (damn you Kronos! Will we ever see Fear Effect: Inferno?!?) and there are many many more but I don't feel like typing.

FFVI all the way. FFVII sucks by comparison.

Oh yes, and Yoshi's Island.

All final fantasy games are over rated.

All Final Fantasy gamers are overated.

But the awesome rockinosity of Final Fantasy 6 is unimpeachable.

Totally agrees. And since when did we have "spikey haired" heros as a "main character"? Back then we didn't have A main character... we had MANY main characters. All of which were remarkable. Not like that healer witch that dies at the hands of a Bishounen wannabe bad***. We had a kick *** general who could whoop the main villain in no time... only to die at te hands of those who he worked for...and we cried over that! Back then we had nafarious laughing... politically incorrect villains who were so screwed you'd loved to hate them because of it!
