Skies of Arcadia

You waste time playing games. Why not waste time talking about them too?

This game is far too good for me to be the only one who plays it...

For those who don't know it, Wiki. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skies_of_Arcadia

If you don't have the game, I strongly suggest you get it. There must be a sequal coming out sometime... We could only hope.

I was thinking about picking up the 'Cube version when it came out, but realized I had a stack of games I hadn't even touched yet - a stack which has barely been cut into, what with me continuing to get new games (like the DS I just got...)

I've had that for a while. It is an awesome game. I've got the GC ver of it. I have played though it a few times. Its just a good story line, and I like the charecters. :tabitabi:

Looks like I won't be getting it, since both the PC and PS2 versions were cancelled.

Yet another reason to switch to Nintendo :D

Or just buy Nintendo in addition to the other systems. Cube and Wii aren't going to cost much for someone who is already big spender (MQ).

Too expensive in my opinion. I just get a system and stick with it.

It's not too expensive for MQ's rock-and-roll lifestyle.

I think he was referring to your comment on buying multiple systems.

The GC version is just pretty much the director's cut. Like the Sonic Adventure games, the original was for Dreamcast. A friend of mine said there was a lot of stuff edited when they translated it from the japanese Eternal Arcadia so the rating wouldn't be borderline M.

Sort of my point is that many people will not buy precisely one system. Some will buy two or three because they have the money (or are willing to spend it). Some will buy zero because they don't (or aren't impressed enough to buy even one system). Certainly if you feel you must buy exactly one system, then more power to you in choosing the right one, but I do not feel that approach applies (or should apply) to everyone.
