I figured I might as well fill this out since I'm bored

Why is (s)he enrolled in Chambers? Gary's super strength does not allow him to function in normal society

Is (s)he social or a loner? Social, but inadvertently intimidating
What was his/her home life like? Loving parents, not so kind community. Was not allowed to join any Junior high sports after a school board decision.

What kind of clothing does your character like to wear? Usually jeans and sleeveless flannel shirts, cowboy style boots. Big belt buckle with a star on it

The Detention Room (Correct me if I get this wrong)

The location of detention is a windowless, doorless, concrete room that nullifies powers. One is teleported into and out of said room, and the room itself generates one's deepest fears with startling accuracy. Although nothing in it is real, every sense is manipulated perfectly, and pain or repetitions of death-like experiences may occur.

OKAY!

I've finally come up with my second character.

Name: Ilyana
Race: Succubus
Powers: Seduction, shapeshifting, some black magic. Of course, these would be her powers if she could actually use them properly.
Grade: Junior
Age: 32,000 demon years, or 16 in human years.
Appearance: Usually in her demon form, Ilyana has short blue/purple hair with glowing amber eyes. She has two large horns on top of her head, a long tail, two small bat wings, and little talons on her shoulders. She's not very slim, but nor is she very fat either. She's the image of a cute girl that has let herself go a bit, one that has enjoy too many nights over a pint of ice cream. Somehow she still manages to fit into clothes that she otherwise shouldn't fit into. She enjoys wearing short shorts, spike heeled boots that lace up, and corsets. She doesn't seem to be quite aware that she's gained a bit of weight from eating so much human food.

Backstory: Ilyana is not your typical succubus. While growing up in the demon realm, she managed to ruin practically every job that has ever been given to her. The succubi have a simple task; seduce the men (or women) on earth and give them an uneasy time with their loved ones. Every time she tries to be seductive, she ends up getting extremely distracted, or just literally "sits" on her intended prey, making it very hard for them to move, as she's pretty heavy. The girl is not very bright. It's hard for her to follow simple directions, understand easy conversations, or practice restraint [with human food].

The thing is, Ilyana is obsessed with human food. She enjoys watching MTV and eating Oreos and Ho-hos and Hershey bars and cinnamon buns and doughnuts and many other fattening foods. She's the black sheep among the succubus when it actually comes to getting a job done right. She'd try very hard to seduce those who cross her path, but ends up getting distracted easily. It could be said that perhaps proper medication would help her, but she's never attentive long enough to know about that.

The demons decided to send her to Chambers, as they had seen some of their own kind travel there and have success. However, they more or less sent her there to get her out of their hair. The succubi have about had it with Ilyana.

Since being sent to Chambers, Ilyana has been there for three years, somehow managing to barely scrape by. She takes mostly easy classes, and usually draws fashion models in her notebook while waiting for class to finish. Though she's not the brightest crayon in the box, she's got a good heart, somewhere. Just watch out for her seduction tricks. They're not very flashy.

I think Ilyana needs a little more... depth. From what you've written so far, the only thing she wants or likes is food, and everyone wants food. You need something that would let her form real relationships with other characters, and (for this year) something that might hook her into overarching plot lines. I'm afraid at this point she'd end up annoying other characters and not noticing the plot, which would put her unfortunately in Ignored Character Limbo.

Try thinking less about what she does and more about what she thinks and feels, why she does things. Let us see the person in there, not just the jokes.

Of course, even in-depth characters can end up in Ignored Character Limbo...

Or at least in rather small plot lines... //>.>\\'....

And anyway, a character description needn't give all the details away, either... Just something to get people a little familiar with the character...

Ilyana certainly has a lot of potential... I mean... She was shunned by everyone she knows... She seems to be fascinated with drawing fashion models... (may hint at some negative body image, considering that the people who model clothing tend to be... well... you've seen them... And given that she likes to eat... especially unhealthy foods... There's kind of a conflict of interest there)

Speaking of wanting food, though...

Man... I'm hungry... .... *I hate not having any transportation... it can make getting to a grocery store so difficult... I only have a couple of cans of chicken noodle soup, a couple salmon fillets, a pack of rice, and some oatmeal)...
