I suppose I should try to play the original game...

but since I hate final fantasy, i'm reluctant.

Heh, yup, pretty much everything that can be different between Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy, is different. Except maybe, I dunno, some of the menu options.

So I guess it's supposed to be a port of the SNES game. Should I try to play the original first or wait for this DS version?

if you can find a copy of the original snes or even the playstation port i suggest picking it up, because there is no official release date as of yet for this game, nor is the game even confirmed as being chrono trigger. more than likly this info will be released in a few weeks at E3

Hmm, 3d FF IV and Chrono Trigger DS for Christmas?

...

Second best videogame Christmas Ever!

Best videogame christmas ever was when I got Super Metroid, Starfox, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy VI, and Mario Cart.

That year my grades turned to crap, but it was totally worth it in ever single way. :o
