it did bug me that every episode was pretty much exactly the same. This is the general plot-line.

Ash and company are on a pokemon journey.

they bump into a pokemon they had never seen before. It ends up being owned by someone they have never met. Team Rocket trys to steal it. They get blasted away, and Ash and company win.

how many times ccan they do it? 5 or so seasons worth, at least.

And the same thing happened with superman. Doesn't mean superman was banned right? In fact there's a new superman movie coming out.

Though the issue with pokemon causing epileptic seizures did happen, and now most anime programs now have a warning at the start not to sit too close to the screen and make sure you're in a well lit room.

Look, if you want a more PC version of Tails' response: if there are kids who can't discern between fiction and reality, this is either a reflection on their age or a sad fact about their medical condition, not a reflection on whatever fiction they watched/read/played. So I don't know why you brought it up to begin with.

Also, it's funny that you think that because someone did something stupid, he must be retarded. Perfectly intelligent people with no disabilities do really incredibly stupid stuff every day, like arguing on the internet. Kids aren't immune from human nature. If what "you think you read" actualy happened, which I doubt, I bet they were just average kids who got caught up in some game they were playing.
