Last movie you watched and what you thought

Okay it's time for a new topic. Should be self explanitory.

Technically, everyone who's ever seen a movie should be able to post at least once in this topic, unless they have incredibly bad memories.

You can mention more than one movie if you want, but only if they're both particularly important to you. Also, try to say where you saw it and on what medum (in the theater, on dvd, on tv, in class, projected film, computer, projector, tv, drive-in, whatever) if for no other reason than filler.

But please, try to limit it to movies you've actually seen in their entirety. Also, I don't think that TV shows should count. You'd have to make a new topic for anything non-feature length.

(also, if it's an older or less known film, or just because, try to include a link to it's IMDB profile)

Anyway, earlier this evening I watched 12 Monkeyson DVD via Netflix. That movie rawks. Go rent it. Come on, you can see both Brad Pitt and Bruce Willis' asses!

*i guess i should put up a spoiler warning for this one*

Also, earlier today I saw Steamboy which i liked. One thing that kinda bothers me though is that the big grandpa steam guy invents this castle thing, and then later on he has to destroy it because he says that it should be for the good of mankind. But then...the his original vision for the thing was a giant floating steam-powered circus...How does that benefit anyone? Oh well. *end spoiler* It was still cool to see London in anime form.

I watched Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory today.

Gene Wilder is scary, and I love it.

Last movie I watched was 'La Cage aux Folles' and I was thinking how charming and interesting it was. At once it is a collection of disjointed love stories, a satire on the moral majority's so called rectitude, a parody of so many love stories, a comment on prejudice and a very funny film. Plus I got to practice my French since I always watch foreign films subbed. The only big complaint I have is that having seen the American re-make first I found myself comparing the two - they hardly changed the performances, except the re-make lost a few of the hard edges (but not many, it is a rare thing, a decent Hollywood re-make of a good European film) and the fact that the lighting takes a little getting used to since it's all filmed in dingy 70's cinematoscope, but it portraying a very gay, outre, bright story.
Cynical, sarcastic - yup, that's me.

The last flick I watched was Constantine... amusing image of the devil :)

It was complete fluff,a popcorn movie, enjoyable enough if only for the mass kill-off of annoying cast members

Last flick I liked I can't bloody remember, apart from The Incredibles (given) it was probably one of the LOTR films... mind you Hero and Shrek 2 weren't bad films by any degree...
‘Look, I don’t care what you say; I am not putting my hand in there. If I’ve learned anything in 21 years on this rock it’s not to jam my hands into strange drawers.’
‘It’s only a sock draw’
‘All the more reason not to!'

The last movie I watched was Phantom of the Opera... I saw it today, the 4th time I've seen it. I love it, it's my favorite movie.... a very good musical, but it's not so good out of the theater- the sound goes away. Being a musical, it's better with lots of sound... of course, today when I watched it I was in school and we had to keep the volume really low because AP exams were going on all day.... but it's a very good movie. I would defineately recommend watching it to anyone that likes any kind of music. (including classical!)

Was that the original then? I can't remember when the new one came out in theaters, but I want to rent it when it's available. But I'm sure the original is good too of course.

The last movie I saw (I think) was Equilibrium. It was fairly good. It started out slow but once it got going, I really got into it. Some of it is a little unrealistic but there are quite a few movies like that. It reminded me of Minority Report.
