Chapter 18

Postby fishamaphone » Sat Apr 28, 2007 8:40 am

OK, this is getting ridiculous. First Ari is wearing Miya on her head, and then Denki has to fight a Tsutsumu Corp. rat?

Check out his hat pin! He's totally a lesser minion of the evil Lord Yzin. Erm, a *significantly* lesser minion.

It wouldn't hurt you to think like a serial killer once in a while. Image

I'm not sure when "ridiculous" started meaning "uncool," but if that's true, I really need to have a stern talk with a Mrs. Miriam Webster and a Mr. Oxford English.

Pee-Wee was ridiculous, and he was cool :x

Napoleon Rat! YES! My life is freakin' complete!

And jeez, I didn't even catch the Miya-hat. So very observant.

Hm. Been a while since I've posted here.

Not that I've actually seen the character that Arashiko's hat is a reference to, but I still have to give it a thumbs up.

It's nice to see Loure still lugging around the oversized hammer. Also interesting that players can swap jobs.

Tabi was super-happy-devious in the flashback. The fact that most of her guild members put on the same kiddy act that she does is still frightening in a way, though.

I wonder what character classes the pirates and ninja use? Warriors and rogues would make the most sense respectively, I suppose, but still...

Two mages completing a quest by themselves is something. Bravo. The Napoleon rat was also interesting.

Bar room brawl! That should be pretty fun. :o

Billy finally gets some screen time again. I wonder if he'll do a little more here than he did back in chapter 10? He hasn't really been very active in any of his appearances, so far.

[15-18] Hm. Billy is worried about Kalligraphi being in Hoshuteki, but back in town, Arashiko states that they're in a Non-PK zone... I wonder if that means the whole town, or just the docks and pub?

If it is the whole town, then Morris and Von Faxon must have something really nifty planned to work around the PKing restriction.

[18] They're going to play a hand of 5-card draw to decide the dispute? I was hoping for some virtual bloodshed, but I guess poker is good enough. Though I'm kind of sorry nobody had a weapon drawn in the first panel -- was curious as to some of their character classes (unless they're all Monks?).

And, is it just me, or is the blonde Naruto-esque guy in the first panel about to get kicked really hard in the face by Loure...? :?

Well, Loure *is* wearing a skirt'ish thing. I'd say he's earned the kick. :P
