Update Thread for November!

Holiday season is coming up. How's everyone doing?

We didn't get the house we wanted. It was a short sale and while we understood the process would take a while, we didn't think the lenders would be jerkfaces about it. Needless to say, they wanted more than what the house was worth and we felt that we could get a better house somewhere else. So the search continues for a new house.

I got an internship at an ad agency here in Florida, so I'm really excited. One of my dumb job seeking emails worked. If I do well, they'll hire me on full time. Here's hoping my writing skills aren't too terrible.

Really excited about Thanksgiving; it'll be the first time our families will be spending it together. I'm not excited about still working in retail, but hey, that's what the internship is for, right? Hope for a better future next year?

Anyone have plans for the holidays? Trips? Family get-togethers? Scheming plans of world domination?

Currently staying here at home with family for Thanksgiving. I'll be meeting family I haven't met before, so it should be interesting.

I also have plans to move out into an apartment with the lady come next year, after graduating and such.

I'll be spending time with my sister's family and parents for Christmas. Other than that I'm pretty much playing everything by ear.

Spent thanksgiving at the my wife's parents house, but got to go over to my parents place as well. The wife got up at 0100 on black friday to go shopping. She enjoyed spending my money, I have yet to see what exactly was bought.

Next week I go to Hawaii for training. That should generate some interesting stories.

I started photoblogging my kids message boards outside their rooms on my FB page. The results have been hilarious.

Cataclysm is the AWESOME. I am enjoying WoW immensely and will be taking 2 days off work after my training in hawaii just to power level my Druid and DK. *GLEE*

Well, officer training just became a bit more intangible.

After a month of jerking my chain and two excursions to the desert, I've been told that my Hebrew's not good enough, and that the normal qualifying process won't accurately show my aptitude. Since they think that's not fair for me, but waiving the process isn't fair for the other candidates (none of whom, it should be noted, have any college education), they're looking for "other avenues" for me to become an officer.

I have no idea what that means, and neither do my officers, so until I do know what's going on my mind kind of already thinks it's not going to happen. Which is annoying. Since I found out I've lost motivation, both to work out physically and to practice reading. I'm not depressed... I am putting energy towards other things, but those two items dropped off of my priority list like a skydiver without a parachute. Hopefully that's a temporary thing, and I manage to kick myself out of it by next week.

On the other hand, the play is moving along nicely. Did I mention the play here? I'm in an English-language production of The Crucible over at a local university. Reverend John Hale. Fun role. I get to yell a lot. And I've noticed a Reverend Hale-like set of logic starting to dominate my day-to-day decision-making, which is kind of weird. I suppose I'm lucky I'm not playing, say, Danforth or Cheever. Or, uh, Abigail.

I spent thanks giving with some family of mine that live in upstate new york, near letchworth national park. It was good to see them. Also my old brother came up to visit from texas for two weeks durring our break. It was also nice to see him considering that last summer was the first time we have been talking again since my freshmen year of college (I am now a junior, about to be a senior by credits)

speaking of college 37 credit hours till graduation.
wow.

Right now I am at my boyfriends parents house in Montana. I had my first experience with the Denver airport the other day, and man that place is a MESS.

His family and this town are quaint.
I can't get over the fact there are only two baggage claims at this airport, and four gates.

I don't think I would know what to do in a place this small if I lived here.

anyway
glad to be not in rochester, at least its now windy here even if it is 18 degrees.

*hugs everyone*

A little late now. :(

I spent X-mass in Bozeman at my sister's place and then headed east to spend some time with my parents in Jordan. Oh well. Maybe some other time.
