This baseball game is goin on...
And I've decided where my loyalty will lie.
I have chosen to root for the St. Louis Cardnals.

Why? Well...

A) They're from the same state as Celey. :)

B) They're coached by Tony LaRousa. Who is the former coach of the Oakland A's. And I've always believed you were supposed to root (root, root!) for the home team. This season it looks like they're as close to a home team as I can get.

I don't know about you, Ed, but I'm rooting for the Marlins.

I don't care if they didn't even make it to post-season. I'm just that stubborn.

... pronounced "slap"?

That's unfortunate.

Btw, what's baseball? I'm Canadian, so all I know is hockey.

I've seen baseball while flipping channels though - is that the game where people try to hit balls out of the air, try to catch it again, and run around alot?

*curious*

If by "red socks suck", you mean "stand against corporate imperialism", then yes.

Kinda funny how the guy who cheers for Tsutsumu is against corporate imperialism...

Forget about Tsutsumu Corp. already? :P

Wheels within wheels, fish.

Wheels within wheels.

Tsutsumu Corp. is less of an actual Evil Empire™ than other large corporations like Mircosoft or the U.S. Senate.

Tsutsumu doesn't use his corporation to take over the world, he uses his corporation as a front for his world controlling plans.

Besides, the Yankee's payroll is approximately twelve times higher than the annual income of Tsutsumu Corp.

Ah, but only slightly higher than your precious Sox's payroll...

I believe one number is $180 mil, and the other is $140 mil.

Really not that far a cry, when you think about it.

$40 Mil is "not a far cry"?

I know you sopiled rich kids in Florida have it easy and all, but I could like comfortably for the rest of my life on that kind of scratch.

Ah, but a baseball team cannot :)

See, most people don't live in a building that can seat around 100,000 people, and most people don't travel around the country semi-constantly at their own expense.

I mean, when you think about it, that's only 5 players' salaries. Probably less on the Yankee's roster.

This isn't saying the Yankee's aren't far eviler than the Red Sox, but Boston isn't completely exempt either :)

OK, now can we debate social darwinism? Or abortions?

Every team makes history at some point or another. I say choose your defining point for a sport and stick with it.

I'm always gonna toot the Marlins' horn for being the only team to have a record that consists solely of losing seasons and World Series championchips. Now THAT is history.

By January, I'm gonna be parading the Dolphins around for being the only team in NFL history to both go through a single season undefeated, and go through a single season unvictorious.

It's a major feat. Don't think it'll ever be matched.

Who cares what happened this week?
